Welcome to the PCA
The PCA is a non- profit making organisation which promotes and protect, the interests of its members and the safety of passengers, crews and vessels at all times. Charterer’s interests are upheld and the PCA ensures that its members operate within or exceed national regulations covering Charter Vessels.
The PCA assists its members by:
- Establishing an effective communications channel among the members of the Charter Industry, the public and aiding in addressing items of mutual interest
- Representation to statutory and professional bodies (Government, MCA, RYA etc)
- Promoting the highest professional standards of best practice for delivering high quality guest experiences
- Protection of the interests of PCA members and the safety of passengers, crews and vessels at all times
- Assistance with contractual matters and implementation of regulations
- Being a point of technical expertise in the coding and compliance of Charter Vessels
- Being a point of contact from members of the public seeking to find a Charter Vessel and acting as a first point of arbitration in the event of a dispute
Membership
Membership of the PCA is open to persons and organisations concerned with the operation, ownership and marketing of charter vessels
Categories of Membership
- Full Member is a person who has an active interest in chartering
- Associate Member is one who has an interest in chartering
- Honorary Membership is granted with the full agreement of the committee to one who has served the association well or is in a position to do so. The Committee has the power to invite any persons or body to become a member in this category.
The PCA meets these needs for its members.
